With interest rates at a record low, these are perfect conditions for an investor to maximise on investment growth within the property sector.
This in turn creates competition for first time buyers looking to get onto the property ladder, as they are competing against experience landlords who are looking to expand their portfolio, which as a result increases the demand for property and house prices.
With lenders criteria relaxing since 2012, in addition to the availability of higher loan to value (LTV) buy to let products are further factors as to why buy to let landlords are looking to refinance their existing properties in order to capital raise to fund a deposit for a new buy to let acquisition.
